Taking a look at Canon’s new cameras!

Canon now has three new cameras to offer to its consumers: EOS M6, the 77D and the Rebel T7i.

There’s also a Bluetooth remote BR -E1 and upgraded new Canon EF-S 18-55mm kit lens.

The enhanced autofocus feature for 77D and T7i (800D) by adding a 45 -point AF system in both the cameras is promising. Both the cameras use Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF system while shooting in live view to focus with speeds as fast as 0.03 seconds. This is a huge bonus for the entry level photographers who are the main prime target for these two model.

The EOS M6, Canon’s mirrorless new model is another entry level camera. The features in the new model aren’t much different than M5. There has been some slight redesigning in the body. Now it’s an option to have the viewfinder on the M6. It also features a flip-up screen suitable for selfies. This camera is an absolute delight for vlogging and the size is quite compact as well.

Introduction video of T7i

Canon plans to ship the camera in April 2017 at $750 for the body, $900 for the kit with the new 18-55mm lens or $1,300 for a kit with the 18-135mm STM lens.

Here is Canon’s new kit lens feature video. It will be available for $250 in early April.

Canon also has announced its first ever Bluetooth camera remote, the BR-E1. You can control your camera from minimum 16 -feet away. It’s compatible with both the new cameras. It’s priced $50 and will be available in April 2017.

Overall 77D is the most exciting product for me. I loved its look, how it’s perfect for someone who is taking photography seriously. M6 is far from giving a competition to Sony’s mirrorless cameras for consumers. It will be interesting to see how the DSLRS fare in the market.
